Dzombo Hunting Safari’s Namibia
Namibia, a country of breathtaking beauty and contrast;
Rated as one of the most beautiful countries on earth, boasting not only Etosha National Park, indisputably one of the world's greatest game reserves, but also the Caprivi strip, which is a water wonderland in a mostly arid country.
Namibia is located in southwest Africa, and is bordered by South Africa, Botswana and Angola. It is distinguished by the Namib Desert along its Atlantic coastline and is well known for its extreme contrast desert meeting ocean, bushveld, savannahs and rocky mountains.
Namibia is a mostly arid country rich in mineral resources, with rich coastal and marine resources that remain largely unexplored.
The country has a very diverse wildlife, boasting significant populations. This has very much to do with the fact that animal populations are controlled by a fine balance of hunting and conservation working hand in hand. Namibia will give you a challenging hunt with vast array of wildlife species.
Namibia is one of few countries in the world to specifically address conservation and protection of natural resources in its constitution. Article 95 states, "The State shall actively promote and maintain the welfare of the people by adopting international policies aimed at the following: maintenance of ecosystems, essential ecological processes, and biological diversity of Namibia, and utilisation of living natural resources on a sustainable basis for the benefit of all Namibians, both present and future.”
The main goal is to promote sustainable natural resource management by giving local communities rights to wildlife management and tourism.
